Be Fit to Ski

A Complete Guide to Alpine Skiing Fitness

About the Author

Sue Kramer has worked in the ski industry as a ski instructor and race coach since 1985. As an Examiner for the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) organization, she travels all over the northeast to train other instructors. She's also a U.S. Ski & Snowboard (USSS) Level 300 race coach, working with athletes under the age of 18, serving as the Technical Director for the Bromley Outing Club in Peru, Vermont. When time allows, she certifies other USSS race coaches on fundamental skills, coaching methodology and tactics.

Kramer attained a Masters degree in Kinesiology while training to compete for a spot on PSIA’s 2008 & 2012 national teams. The idea for this book evolved from her off-snow training in preparation for the team selection. Following the sound concepts presented in this book she has been able to continue to ski at the highest level of performance.
